STATE TECHNICAL COLLEGE OF MISSOURI - CLUBHOUSE*

LINN, MO

Design of a greenfield clubhouse for the State Technical College of Missouri.  Design of lighting, power and low voltage systems. The clubhouse included a commercial kitchen, duckpin bowling alley, movie theatre and golf simulators and an outdoor swimming pool. Design inlcuded new site lighting and electric vehicle charging. The area where the building was constructed did not have 3-phase power available and coordination with Ameren Electric was required to bring 3-phase power to the site.

CREVE COEUR ICE ARENA - NEW AMMONIA REFRIDGERATION*

CREVE COEUR, MO

Creve Coeur ice rink replaced their ice freezing system to an ammonia refrigeration system. Designed lighting, power and low voltage systems for the revised mechanical area housing the refrigeration equipment. The existing electrcal equipment did not have physical space for new connections required for the design. Electrical equipment buswork was tapped to fused disconnect switches to resolve the issue.  Ammonia is toxic and flammable and the design around it is complex with required leak detection and ventillation systems.

EV CHARGING STATION(S)*

NATIONWIDE

Design of level 2 and level 3 EV charging infrastructure for varouis electrical contractors in need of permittable engineering documents. Clients included Avis Rental Cars and Frito Lay. Design included analysis of utility bills and/or electrcal power studies to determine available power for EV chargers. Design included creation of electrical site plans and riser diagrams and electrical calculations and schedules as well as equipment details of the specific EV chargers being designed to. Designs often included upgrade of electrcial services and mounting details of electrical equipment on concrete slabs with rebar and c-channel supports.

Project Experience

LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER DINING FACILITY*

LITTLE ROCK, AR

Design of a greenfield dining facility at the Law Enforcement Training Center in Little Rock Arkansas. Project design included lighting, power and low voltage systems for a VA, (Veterans Affairs), commercial kitchen and dining area.  Project was designed following United Facilities Criteria (UFC’s) and utilized UFGS “SpecsIntact” specifications and went through the DR CHECKS review process.

FEDERAL COURTROOM AT JEFFERSON COURTHOUSE*

GREENBAY, WI

Design of a renovated space in the Jefferson courthouse building. Design was adhered to the U.S. Federal  Courts Design Guide. Design included an assisted listening system, an interactive jury box and ample audio/visual and security provisions throughout the courtroom.

RAWLINGS OFFICE SPACE*

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO

Design of lighting, power and low voltage systems for the new Rawlings office space. Rawlings moved into three floors of the gold tower at Westport Plaza in Maryland Heights MO.  Design included specialty decorative lighting, access control, CCTV, tele/data and fire alarm systems. The gold tower uses bus duct for electrical power distribution which presented unique challenges. Many of the existing electrical panelboards were made by Zinsco which are known to be significant fire and safety hazards. These panelboards were replaced as part of the design.

ADVANCED INDIVIDUAL TRAINING BARRACKS*

MONTEREY, CA

Complete design of a greenfield Dynamometer (engine testing facility) at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow. Project design included lighting, power, lightning protection and low voltage systems. Project design included a DC recifier system to start engines as large as 6000 horsepower. Provided electrical report including service size calculation, power system study, lightning risk assessment and photometric calculations. The power system study included load flow and voltage drop and short circuit analysis, protective device coordination curves and arc-flash hazard evaluation. Project was coordinated with NAVFAC. Project was designed following United Facilities Criteria (UFC’s) and utilized UFGS “SpecsIntact” specifications and went through the DR CHECKS review process.

P-939 ENGINE DYNAMOMETER FACILITY*
